Swaminathan (Swami) has over 31 years of experience in the Banking & Financial Services domain & the office Automation Industry. The last 26 years of his career has been in Senior Leadership roles across various business divisions of the financial services conglomerate – KOTAK.
Swami’s tenure in the Kotak group spanned many diverse businesses - some of which were set up by him from concept to large business lines for Kotak. His 26 years stint in the group spans building & running large business units and P&L‘s across the Consumer Bank (which included acquisition, managing & mining customers and raising low cost - CASA deposits across the Institutional & Retail Customer Segments & Product Management), Investment Bank (responsible for investment banking mandates & advising some of the most marquee names of India Inc.), Asset Management Company (with primary responsibility of Sales & Distribution of the fund house across Retail, Institutional & Bank segments) and the Asset Finance business (handling OEM Manufacturer relationships, building strategic business alliances, Credit underwriting & credit control, driving product development & marketing functions and earlier was also responsible for handling the biggest Western Region of the country)
He stepped down as Joint President @ Kotak Mahindra Bank in February 2021 and joined Leadership Centre in April 2021.
Through his career, Swami has been a key member of the Management committee of Kotak Bank and part of all important Strategic & Leadership initiatives of the various business divisions at Kotak with proven ability to manage risks, scale & complexity through agility, operational excellence and adept at providing change management initiatives proactively.
He has also been an integral part of all leadership development, capability development and talent nurturing initiatives across the group.
Swami holds a PGDBM (Finance & Marketing) from Gujarat University after he completed his degree in Bachelor of Commerce. His professional trainings include Senior Management programs from IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore & ISB Hyderabad.
